  29. the Amiga.

  31. Okay, now that *that's* out of the way...  Full Throttle is a brilliant
  32. adventure.  Myst is an impressive looking interactive movie.  Descent is a
  33. fast paced shoot em up.  Duke Nukem 3D is a horrid sexist thing.. :)

  44. Okay, show me graphics professionals using PPaint or Brilliance?  Some artists
  45. use DPaint for games graphics, but you won't see any layout artists, DTP folk
  46. or graphic designers coming within a mile of the Amiga.

  48. One exception is a guy here in Melbourne, who does all his work on Amigas.
  49. Unfortunately, I haven't seen his work, I just heard an interview with him on
  50. a local radio stations computer show.  The interviewer spent all his time
  51. making clever remarks like 'Wouldn't you rather be using a Mac?' and 'Do you
  52. use the Amiga for its HAM mode?'.  Idiot.

  54. You're getting me wrong here.  I don't hate the Amiga.  In fact, I think it's
  55. the best machine I've used - I just can't justify why I use it to anybody who
  56. hasn't had years of getting into why it's so good (ie. PC clone heads).

  66. Every magazine you read has been designed with help from these programs.

  82. they have the hardware options to do these other things at a reasonable price.

  95. So who cares if it's overclocked?  Many A1200 accelerators are overclocked
  96. too.  It doesn't make them run any slower.

  98. Even if a Pentium 120 only ran at 108Mhz, it still outperforms a standard
  99. 1200HD by about 50 times, and costs only slightly more.

  113. can't configure something, they're sure to know a friend who can.

  118. Most PC owners I know have no trouble, but if you wish to live in a fantasy
  119. world thinking the Amiga is doing just fine, well, that's your option.  Being

  129. there will always be people buying computers whom have trouble programming

  142. I won't replace - I'll augment.  I'm emulating a Mac to run the games I want,
  143. and perhaps at some point I'll get a Pentium to mess around with.
